A Spring Valley woman was one of three people injured in a two-car collision Tuesday afternoon in the Town of Gilman.

Deborah Pomasl, 53, was westbound on County Road B, driving a Chevrolet Malibu, when it was struck by a Mercury Sable driven by Karen Paris, 61, Michigan. Paris was southbound on County B when she went through a stop sign at County I, causing the collision, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. The department was notified of the accident at 12:45 p.m.

Sgt. Pete Koch said in a press release that the collision caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway into the southwest corner of the intersection, causing severe damage to both.

Pomasl was transported by RIver Falls Ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where a spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon she was in good condition.

The Paris vehicle came to rest on its top. Karen and passenger, Jamie Paris, 19, Michigan, were taken to River Falls Area Hospital by Spring Valley Ambulance.

The Sheriff's Department was also assisted on scene by Spring Valley Fire, Police and Jerry's Towing.

Koch added the crash is still under investigation.
