Ellsworth teens injured in car accident

Two Ellsworth teenagers were taken to area hospitals Wednesday night after being involved in an one-vehicle accident.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reports BreAna Tallman, 18, was eastbound on 410th Avenue at 683rd St. in the town of Ellsworth when she swerved to miss a deer in the road and entered the north ditch, rolling over, ejecting passenger, Isaac Benck, 18. Tallman was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing where she was treated and released. 

Benck was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul by Ellsworth Area Ambulance. A Regions spokesperson reported Benck was treated and released.  

Deputy Herman Kreig reported two other passengers, Amber Mitchell, 15, Ellsworth and Brittni Landkamer, 16, Beldenville, were uninjured in the crash. Kreig said the crash still remains under investigation.

The Sheriff's Department was also assisted by Ellsworth Fire Department.
