Prescott woman in fair condition after accident Monday morning

A Prescott woman was taken to Regions Hospital Monday morning following a two-car accident on State Highway 35 in the town of Diamond Bluff. 

Mary J. Tharalson, 59, Hager City, was driving her 2004 Lincoln Navigator northbound on Hwy. 35, near 410th Ave., when she lost control on the slippery road. It crossed the centerline and collided with a 2006 Honda Civic driven by Barb A. Peloquin, 51. Tharalson was attempting to pass a semi, when she lost control, according to Pierce County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Vodinelich in a news release.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. Peloquin was extricated from her vehicle by the Prescott Fire Department. She was transported from the scene to Regions Hospital by Prescott Ambulance. A Regions spokesperson said Monday afternoon she was in fair condition. 

River Falls Fire and Ambulance were also on scene.
