Memorial Fundraiser for Milberg/Pavek families Sunday at The Giggle Factory

A memorial fundraiser for the Milberg and Pavek families will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Giggle Factory in Hudson.

Entrance fee is $5 a person. Food will be provided by Ptacek's IGA of Prescott. There will be face painting, Klondike Kates, games and a raffle with prizes. All proceeds from the door and the raffle will be donated to the Milberg and Pavek families. Organizers announced because of the Giggle Factory's capacity limit, they will be offering everyone a limited two-hour time pass. If they are at capacity, visitors may buy entrance passes for a later two-hour time slot that day or for a future visit to the Giggle Factory. Organizers would also like to thank Authentic Ancient Arts, The Giggle Factory's neighbor, for providing an overflow area for adults to mingle with friends.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, a car accident near Prescott took the lives of Lydia Milberg, 12, Laynie Amos, age five, and Clara Pavek, age five. The three cousins were riding in a vehicle driven by Lydia's mom, Kari, who took the girls along with Kari's son Easton, three, for a play date at The Giggle Factory. They were on their way to Clara's house outside Prescott when the accident occurred.

Kari is recovering at a hospital in St. Paul, while Easton was released from a hospital days after the accident.
