Vehicle repairman expands with small engine shop in Hager City
HAGER CITY--Since 2004, Mike Andrews has done vehicle repairs from a shop in Bay City.
Andrews worked there on car and truck engines, tires, brakes and more, he said Thursday. But he also repaired small engines on equipment ranging from lawn mowers and motorcycles to snowmobiles and ATVs. The additional demand for his services in this regard made him realize a need for a second location.
"Then this building opened up," he said about the new home of MAR Power Sports, a name he's carrying over from his Bay City business, which he'll continue.
His latest place, designated especially for the small engine aspect of his work, most recently housed Hager City Glass, he said. The 56-by-26-foot structure appealed to him largely because it's situated near the intersection of Hwys. 35 and 63, a setting with a lot of traffic and high visibility.
