WESTconsin Credit Union coming to Ellsworth

Greg Lentz, WESTconsin’s Chief Executive Officer, announced that the credit union has entered into an agreement with Nilssen’s Foods in Ellsworth to open a retail office within the grocery store. Approval from the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and other government agencies has been granted for the construction of a full service, 500-square-foot office at this site. Opening is expected to occur in spring 2014, a time when the credit union will be celebrating its 75th anniversary. In making the announcement, Lentz said, “We are excited about our first opportunity to have an in-store office and Ellsworth is a great fit for us.” “We have had many requests from members about an Ellsworth location, and we are looking forward to providing programs and services that will help those in this community grow.”

WESTconsin Credit Union originally began as Menomonie Farmers Credit Union in 1939. The credit union presently has offices in Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Eau Claire, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley, Wisconsin. Additionally, WESTconsin operates five fully-functioning high school credit union offices that are located in Amery, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond and River Falls.
