Phillips-Medisize sells Prescott facility
PRESCOTT--Phillips-Medisize has announced the sale of its Prescott facility.
This site is currently used as office space for some of the corporate staff representing the following functions: executive leadership, finance, legal, corporate supply chain and product development.
Under terms of the sale, Phillips will continue to occupy the facility throughout 2014, providing the company plenty of time to select and outfit an alternate site.
Two years ago, Phillips decided to put the facility up for sale after determining the site was not appropriate for long-term use, given its size, location and layout.
Matt Jennings, President and CEO of Phillips, said, “It is clear, from our employees and customers, there is a preference to be on the Hwy. I-94 corridor—near the Hudson Design and Development Center, and Menomonie Medical Production Campus.
“This area is easily accessible to the Minneapolis airport for the customers, while maintaining a strong medical engineering work force from the Twin Cities and Northwestern Wisconsin plants (in Hudson, New Richmond and Menomonie). “With the facility sold, we can now identify a new site.”
