Constructing with care

Work continued last week on the exterior of Preferred Senior Living, the new 40-unit senior housing project on the east side of Hwy. 65, just west of the Ellsworth Country Club at the village’s northwest limits.

The nearly 30,000 square foot development will offer its residents a homelike environment, including a choice of living arrangements, meal and medical services, as well as activities and communications, both internally and externally. There will be 36 studio-plus units and four one-bedroom units, divided as to either moderate acuity or memory care.

Greg Johnson and Pete Kociscak, partners in Senior Properties of Ellsworth, are the developers, also owners of other complexes in Coon Rapids, Minn., Mahtomedi, Minn., and Maplewood, Minn.
