Ellsworth police: Counterfeit bill; Fishing argument

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Feb. 5-11.

Counterfeit bill

An Evergreen Estates tenant apparently paid rent with a fake $100 bill, reported to police in River Falls by the Estates owner. RFPD then contacted Ellsworth police at 1:22 p.m. Feb. 5. The tenant was tracked down; she said the bill came from her friend "Chica" from St. Paul. The bill was sent to the Secret Service, according to police reports.

Suspected sex offender

A Ramsey County probation officer requested at 7:12 a.m. Feb. 7 that contact be made with a suspected sex offender living at 236 N. Grant St., which would be in violation of probation rules. Contact was made with the subject, who left the residence.

Fishing argument

Police were called to an Evergreen Estates home at 10:24 p.m. Feb. 11 for a report of two individuals arguing loudly. Contact was made with a couple; the woman admitted she had been yelling more loudly than she should. She was angry that the male had gone ice fishing. They both agreed to quiet down.
