Plum City to implement notification system this month

PLUM CITY -- The Plum City School Board last month approved implementing a PreK-12 notification system to start this month.

District Administrator Mark Luebker explained it's a telephone and e-mail messaging service used by schools to quickly and effectively communicate important school news to parents. He added participating schools can use the notification service as needed for all urgent and non-urgent announcements throughout the school year.

In other action, the board approved a trip in June for two students to Costa Rica and heard the latest food service report from supervisor Leah Milliren.

The next school board meeting was set for 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19.
