Scholarship offered to students who helped with Farm Tech Days

With thoughts of graduations and education beyond high school, Pierce county students who participated in the 2010 FTD Show, and are going into agriculture related training will have the opportunity to win a $2,000 scholarship sponsored by the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, Inc. Board of Directors.

Students who graduated from a Pierce County High School, or are a Pierce County resident graduating from high school in 2010 or 2011 are eligible to apply.

Candidates must be planning to pursue their education within the University of Wisconsin System or the Wisconsin Technical College System.

They must be taking agriculture-related training, either long or short course. Genetics, Landscape, Architecture, Biochemistry, Bacteriology, Food Industry, Horticulture, Agriculture Journalism, Environmental Science, and other agriculture-related disciplines are required to apply for the scholarship.

Students must have volunteered at this past year's 2010 Farm Technology Days Show in Pierce County in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

Farm Technology Days was held this past summer at the Roger and Bev Peterson Farm near River Falls.
