EHS students, teacher awarded for December

Each month, Ellsworth High School staff nominates students they feel are worthy of Student of the Month accolades. The following students were honored in December.

Freshmen

Victoria Lynner was nominated by Mr. Casper in social studies. Victoria is a hard-working student who is motivated to do well, always.

Peter Olson was nominated by Mr. Casper in social studies. Peter is an awesome student who is motivated to achieve success on every task.

Sophomores

Anna Sweere was nominated by Mrs. Pechacek in social studies. Anna is a hard worker who strives to do her best.

Kaden Funk was nominated by Mrs. Pechacek in social studies. Kaden is a hard worker who strives to do his best.

Juniors

Maddi Smith was nominated by Mrs. Goodman in science. Maddi works hard in anatomy class and is always willing to participate in class discussions.

Emily Ray was nominated by Mrs. Jahnke in science. Emily works diligently in class and is always willing to help others.

Seniors

Tori Person was nominated by Mrs. Jahnke in science. Tori works hard and has the courage to try challenging tasks.

Rebecca Mewes was nominated by Ms. Graber in student council. Rebecca has done a great job leading the student council with activities for Hollies Follies week.

Jesse Lantz was nominated by Ms. Graber in student council. Jesse has done a great job leading the student council with activities for Hollies Follies week.

Teacher of the Month

Mrs. Rumpel who teaches mathematics at the high school. Students that nominated her for this award stated that she was cool. One students also stated that, "Mrs. Rumpel never gets mad if you don't get something, she just keeps trying to say it in different ways. She works with you until you understand the skill." Other students mentioned that she likes to point out how math is used in the real world.
