Lois M. Riemenschneider

Lois Miriam Riemenschneider, age 84 of River Falls, formerly of Ellsworth and Brighton, MI, passed away October 31, 2017 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Lois was born March 10, 1933 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Danielson) Dahlby. She graduated from Ellsworth High School, the Class of 1952. She worked as a CPA at Montgomery Wards and Univac in St. Paul. Lois was united in marriage to Milton George Riemenschneider on June 3, 1967 in St. Paul. They moved to Michigan where Milt worked for the Ford Motor Company, and Lois part time as a bookkeeper. After retirement, Lois and Milt made their home in Ellsworth. Lois was a talented musician, who played piano and accordion for nearly 75 years. More recently she enjoyed sharing her time and talents volunteering at many of the local care centers playing her beautiful music for the residents to appreciate. She was a devoted Christian and active in her church, New Life Evangelical in Hastings, where she belonged to the musical group "Lois and the Boys." Lois was a loving wife to Milt, and treasured the 50 years of marriage they were blessed with. She graciously made a welcoming home for their family, and delighted in cooking, and baking. Lois will remain in the hearts of her husband, Milton; daughters, Brenda Stinnett, Roxanne (John) Swope, Tina (Ken) Janofski, and Lori (Ronald) Benedict; grandchildren: Brian Stinnett, Leanne (Nick) Perrine, Mandy (Scott) Earley, Kendra Parketon, Rebecca (Dennis) Graham, Elizabeth (Tim) Freed, Craig (Renee) Janofski, Crystal (Jordon) Cornelious, and Andrea (Ryan) Garner; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; siblings, Joel (Helen) Dahlby, and Marian Jacobson; and sister-in-law, Doris Dahlby. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Dahlby; grandchildren, Jamie Mason and Roni Benedict; and Lois' parents, Arthur and Ruth Dahlby. A Visitation took place 4:00-7:00PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at the O'Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St., Ellsworth, and one hour prior to the funeral at church on Saturday. Funeral Services were held 11:00AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Life Evangelical Free Church, 11245 Point Douglas Dr., Hastings. A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service. Interment took place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth. Funeral services are entrusted to the O'Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 N. Grant St, Ellsworth. (715) 273-4421
