Cardinals snap losing streak, clobber B-W

Cassie Murphy has the defense in the front court against Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday.

PRESCOTT - A six-game losing streak was snapped by the Prescott High School girls basketball team as they defeated Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday 67-43.

The Cardinals led 25-7 after the first quarter and were never threatened as their lead grew to 30 points. The margin gave playing time to many PHS players, especially to seniors on Senior Night.

PHS had four players in double figures led by 18 points from Alyssa Krings, 13 for Katie Magee, and 10 points each for Hanna Barrett and Kallie Krech.

Prescott hosts Durand Thursday and hopes a win will allow them to claim a No. 2 seed in their Division 3 regional despite a below .500 record.
