Partridge joins Badgers
Charlie Partridge says he's glad University of Wisconsin football Head Coach Bret Bielema gave him a second chance to coach at Wisconsin.
Bielema wanted to hire Partridge two years ago as his defensive line coach, but Partridge was just starting his third year in the same job at Pittsburgh and he said he didn't leave out of loyalty to Panthers' coach Dave Wannstedt.
However, Bielema offered the job again just recently and this time, Partridge jumped at it.
Partridge, 34, calls Bielema an excellent recruiter and a hard worker and Partridge considers himself a hard worker as well.
Besides coaching the defensive line, he'll coach the specialists.
He replaces Randall McCray, who will now coach the outside linebackers and become the recruiting coordinator.
