Bulaga could be out for the season due to knee injury

Green Bay Packers’ left tackle Bryan Bulaga could be out for the season after he reportedly injured a knee ligament during Saturday’s Family Night scrimmage. Bulaga took all the snaps with the Packers’ Number-One offense – but he did take a hard fall during the first series and was slow to get up. Pro-Football-Talk-Dot-Com and newspapers in Green Bay and Milwaukee said he needed treatment in the locker room late Saturday night, and was given more tests yesterday. This could be Bulaga’s second season-ending injury in the last two years. Last year, he missed the Packers’ final nine games – including playoffs – with a broken hip bone. It’s possible that Marshall Newhouse and fourth-round rookie David Bakhtiari could start at the two starting spots. Don Barclay could also be in the mix. He started at right tackle late last season, and is practicing at center and right guard at this year’s Training Camp.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette says the Packers will bring in two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Vince Young for an audition today. The 30-year-old Young did not play in the N-F-L last season, after being at camp with the Buffalo Bills. He has played six seasons in the pros with Tennessee and Philadelphia, completing 58-percent of his passes for 89-hundred-64 yards, 46 touchdowns, and 51 interceptions. He also has 12 rushing touchdowns, with 14-hundred-59 career yards on the ground. The Packers have been splitting snaps at Training Camp with back-up candidates Graham Harrell and B-J Coleman. Harrell was Rodgers’ back-up a year ago. He completed 9-of-12 passes in Saturday night’s Family Night scrimmage for 88 yards and a touchdown. Coleman completed 9-of-18 for 100 yards and a pair of interceptions.
