EPC handed another tough conference loss

ELMWOOD - Elmwood/Plum City's prep football team was handed another tough Lakeland South Conference loss Friday as the Wolves were beaten 14-13 by Shell Lake.

EPC took the game's first lead on a 62-yard touchdown pass from Levi Wolf to Alex Boyer. But the Lakers, 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Lakeland South, dominated the game from the Wolves first TD until EPC scored again midway through the fourth quarter on a 13-yard TD run by Wolf.  The missed two-point conversion had EPC trailing by one. The Wolves had the ball twice for the rest of the ballgame but were unable to score again.

Wolf was EPC's leader in both rushing with 87 yards on 15 carries and passing with 134 yards.  He also led the team in tackles with 11.

EPC hurt itself with turnovers, including three fumbles and an interception.

The Wolves have lost two LSC games by a combined total of seven points. Their overall record drops to 1-3 as they will take on Turtle Lake next Friday in Turtle Lake.
