WISCONSIN SPORTS ROUNDUP: Badgers on their way to the Final Four after defeating Arizona in overtime

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Wisconsin is headed back to the N-C-A-A Final Four, defeating top-seeded Arizona in an epic 64-63 overtime battle for the West Regional in Anaheim. The win marks several firsts for the Badgers, including coach Bo Ryan’s first Final Four appearance in 13 seasons… and the only overtime game for Wisconsin all season. Junior Frank Kaminsky played an incredible game, leading all scorers with 28 points and 11 rebounds, including the dagger put-back shot to extend Wisconsin’s lead to three. Arizona had a chance to pull of the win following a lengthy review with two-point-three seconds left in the game, but PAC-12 Player of the Year Nick Johnson was unable to hit the game-winning shot. Badgers will play the Midwest Regional winner between Kentucky and Michigan on Saturday.
________________ Miami’s Chris Bosh scored 14 points and LeBron James added another 13 in a 88-67 win over Milwaukee last night. Bucks center John Henson tallied a double-double in the loss with 12 points and 10 rebounds. With the loss, the Bucks fall another game behind the Philadelphia 76ers, who managed to snap a 26-game losing streak.

According to reports, Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin and former U-C-L-A coach Ben Howland are the two top prospects for the job. The 42-year-old Martin led the Volunteers to a Sweet 16 appearance this season, including a win over Iowa in the play-in game of the tournament. UW-Green Bay coach Brian Wardle is also a reported candidate for the job.

The Milwaukee Brewers ended preseason play with a 7-2 win over Kansas City yesterday afternoon. Pitcher Marco Estrada pitched five scoreless innings in the win, while Logan Schaefer had three hits and two R-B-I’s. Milwaukee’s season opener is tomorrow afternoon against Atlanta, with Yovani Gallardo getting the start on the mound.
