MINNESOTA SPORTS ROUND-UP: MN Super Bowl committee submits final proposal

MINNEAPOLIS  --  The Minnesota Super Bowl Bid Committee has submitted its final propsal to host Super Bowl LII.

U.S. Bank CEO Richard Davis co-chairs the bid committee and says they will make their presentations to team owners May 20th.  At that time, Davis says, all 32 teams will be present and probably more than one owner per team will be on hand. The co-chairs gave few details about their proposal to NFL owners, saying they don't want to give anything away to Indianapolis and New Orleans, the other cities competing for the big game.

The Minnesota Twins continue their four-game series tonight with the Indians in Cleveland.  The two clubs have split the first two games of the set, with Cleveland winning 4-2 last night in Ohio.  First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.

The Minnesota Wild are off today, with no practice and no game.  The day of rest is much deserved as the Wild beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks 4-0 last night in Game Three of their best-of-seven NHL Western Conference semifinal series.  Minnesota will practice tomorrow in preparation for Friday's 8:30 p.m. game.
