Twins put Mauer on 15-day DL

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins are putting first baseman Joe Mauer on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain.

Mauer suffered the injury after hitting a two-run double in the fourth inning of last night's 10-2 win over the Royals.  The thirty-one-year-old Mauer was on a season-long 12-game hitting streak.

The Twins called up Chris Colabello from Triple-A Roster to fill the roster spot.  Collabello played 40 games with the big league club this spring and hit .232 with four home runs and 30 RBI.
