The Field of Angels Coed softball tournament was held July 19 and 20 at the Prescott High School softball fields. The tournament, hosted by Anderson Home Daycare and Prescott LIFE organization, raised $2,300, with proceeds going toward Halos of the St. Croix Valley, Faith’s Lodge and the Minnesota SIDS Research Center. Halos of the St. Croix Valley is run by parents who have lost a child themselves and want to be there for those parents who need the love and support of someone who understands what they are going through. Faith’s Lodge provides a place where parents and families facing the serious illness or loss of a child can retreat and the Minnesota SIDS Center is a statewide program which provides information, counseling and support to anyone experiencing a sudden and unexpected infant death from any cause.
