Prep softball roundup: Elmwood grabs first win

SPRING VALLEY -- Elmwood picked up its first victory of the year.

The first eight Raiders to come to the plate scored as they earned a 22-10 victory over Spring Valley in Dunn-St. Croix Conference softball on Tuesday, May 2.

Elmwood freshman Raya Carson was 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

Ally Lee was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs for Spring Valley.

Durand 15, Plum City 7

Junior Ellie Funk hit her sixth and seventh home runs of the year for the Blue Devils in their loss to the Panthers in Dunn-St. Croix Conference play.

Funk singled in her third at bat.

Morgan Duden was 2-for-2 and was hit by pitch twice.

After ten-running the Chieftains earlier in the season, the Panthers were defeated in Middle Border Conference play on Tuesday, May 2.

Junior Morgan Kummer was 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the third inning to make the score 2-1. Sophomore Kenzie Kummer hit a double in the seventh inning and scored on a Brooke Minder groundout.
