Prep baseball roundup: Prescott fends off Osceola

PRESCOTT – Osceola came back to tie the game at 3 in the top of the fifth inning.

Prescott answered with a 3-run fifth inning of its own before tacking on an extra insurance run in the sixth inning to take a 7-3 victory in Middle Border Conference prep baseball on Monday, May 22.

Junior Peter Brookshaw hit a double in the fifth inning to score senior Zach Dolan and give the Cardinals the lead for good.

Dolan scored twice in the game.

Baldwin-Woodville 5, Ellsworth 4

The Panthers tried to mount a comeback, but didn’t have it in them as they were defeated by the Blackhawks on Monday, May 22 in Baldwin.

Junior Drake Flom was 2-for-4 with a double.

Owen Matzek had a double and two RBIs.

Ellsworth committed six errors in the game.
