Ellsworth High School's volleyball team swept Somerset in its Homecoming match Thursday 3-0. The game scores were 25-23, 25-10 and 25-19.

EHS held big leads in all three games and when the Spartans made a run at them in both games one and three the Panthers responded strong to win.

"Finishing strong was something the team wanted to do a better job of this season and they certainly did so tonight," Ellsworth head coach Nciole VanderBerg said. "They were pressed a couple of times and responded well."

The Spartans cut a 19-12 Ellsworth lead to just two at 20-18 and 24-22 in the first game and then to just one at 24-23 after a pair of kiills from freshman Tori Martell.
