Prescott rallies to beat Hastings in season opener

PRESCOTT - A fourth quarter surge of points by the Prescott High School boys' basketball team led them to 57-53 win over river rival Hastings Friday evening.

Hastings led 28-18 at halftime but a 16-2 run the second half put PHS ahead 48-45 with under three minutes left in the ballgame. PHS held onto the lead thanks to balanced scoring. Clay Seifert led the Cardinals with 17 points and Marty Harris finished with 12 points. The Raiders were led in scoring by Sam Skoyen, who led all players in scoring with 30 points.

PHS has another tough ballgame on tap Monday when they play at Elk Mound on Monday.
