Regis upends Prescott 63-55

PRESCOTT - Eau Claire Regis's prep boys basketball team outscored Prescott 23-12 in the fourth quarter to upset No. 10 ranked Prescott 63-55 at The Nest Tuesday evening.

The Cardinals held a slight 43-40 lead in what was a close ballgame from the start until the Ramblers, 5-4 overall, took control of the game around the 5:00 of the fourth quarter.

Regis also outscored PHS badly from the free-throw line by a 16-3 margin.

Regis's 6-6 junior forward Billy Wampler led all scorers with 19 points. The Redbirds had three players in double figutres led by Mike Brookshaw's 17 points, Alex Helmer's 16 and Clay Seifert's 12 points.

Prescott drops to 6-2 overall. They host Somerset on Friday.
