Elk Mound big winners in Plum City on Alumni Band Night

Plum City's Peter Fenter swats away this shot by Elk Mound's Zac Doll.

PLUM CITY - It was Alumni Band Night at Plum City High School Friday but the music wasn't easy listening for the Blue Devil boys' basketball team.

In one of its worst defeats in school history, PC was beaten 79-24 by undefeated and No. 6 ranked Elk Mound.

While EM's big 6-7 center Dexter Curry scored 12 points it was guard Zach Doll who did the most damage to the Devils as he scored a game high 27 points. The Mounders made nine-three pointers in the ballgame. Elk Mound scored 23 or more points in the first three quarters and led 52-15 at halftime.

Nash Gilles led Plum City with six points and Alex Boyer finished with five points. The loss drops PC to .500 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference, 3-5 overall. The Blue Devils are off until the New Year.

Elk Mound leads the D-SC with a 5-0 record, two gamnes ahead of Colfax.
