PIERCE COUNTY GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUND-UP: County D-SC teams lose weekend games

Pierce County's Dunn-St. Croix girls' basketball teams all lost their games held over the weekend.

Spring Valley, 5-12 overall, came the closest to winning. They were beaten by Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 58-47 in Eau Claire Friday. Emily Boisen had 16 points and Becky Fesenmaier scored 15 points for SVHS. The Cardinals led at halftime 22-21 but were outscored 37-25 by the Lancers, 9-6 overall, in the second half.

Plum City came close as well, only trailing Mondovi by three points heading into the fourth quarter. But the Buffaloes domainted the final eight minutes for a 46-32 win. Sarah Gilles led PC, 4-12 overall, in scoring with 12 points. The Blue Devils also lost Friday to No. 2 ranked Colfax 61-20.

Mondovi also beat Elmwood this weekend, 65-20 Friday at Elmwood. The Buffaloes led 36-8 at halftime. Shelby Hall had nine points for the Raiders, who are still winless in the D-SC at 0-12, 1-16 overall. Mondovi, 15-3 overall, is two games behind Colfax, 17-0 overall,  in the league standings, 13-0 to 11-2.
