(Update) More prep hoops games cancelled, rescheduled

Once again this winter the prep boys and girls basketball schedule for Pierce County teams has been marked up and rewritten.

The recent winter has wiped out two full night of scheduled action forcing athletic directors to scramble to keep up. This time around they face the hard deadline of upcoming regional tournaments.

Which in that case means some games, like the Spring Valley/Prescott boys game scheduled for tonight in Prescott will not be made up. Even a conference game like the Dunn-St. Croix match-up between Colfax and Plum City originally scheduled for Plum City tonight, has been cancelled and will not be made up as PC will play its first round tournament game Tuesday at Cochrane-Fountain City.

Girls basketball games which have been postponed until next week are Ellsworth at Osceola, Durand at Prescott, Glenwood City at Spring Valley, Plum City at Glenwood City, Elmwood at Elk Mound and Boyceville at Elmwood.

Game reschedule dates which have been set for next week are the Glenwood City at Spring Valley contest on Monday; the Ellsworth at Osceola girls basketball game on Tuesday;  the Boyceville at Elmwood game will take place Feb. 28. The Plum City at Elmwood game originally scheduled for that date will take place instead on Monday.

The Boyceville at Plum City girls basketball game originally scheduled for last evening was moved to Saturday. The JV game will tip-off at 5:55 p.m. and the varsity game will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Also on will be the Spring Valley vs. Alma/Pepin contest at Pepin which was originally scheduled for this evening.
