The Rock N' Roll Café in Ellsworth's west business district is changing ownership effective this Friday. Siblings Josh Hudek and Bonnie Brown are taking over the eatery from Kerry and Cheryl Johnson, who opened it in January of 2011 after spending five months on its renovation. Don Nellessen (left), Wisconsin Economic Business Enhancement Group Chairman, presented Tosca's Pizza Owners Deirdre Davis (middle) and Allen Whitney (right) with a bench for their new customers to enjoy. Tosca's recently opened in Spring Valley, and will feature pizza and southern chicken. Nellessen feels the best way to bring about an end to the recession is to provide enhancements directly to small businesses providing jobs and create enthusiasm among the community.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony at Freier's Comfort by Design in East Ellsworth was conducted by the local chamber of commerce Friday. Gabe and Jill Reid took over as owners of the electric, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing business from Scott and Betty Freier in April. Chamber members gathered around to wish the Reids well as Gabe prepared to cut the ribbon.

The owners of the Team Oil Travel Center, Eric and Tony Huppert, were presented a plaque by Pierce County Supervisor Ken Snow and Town of Gilman Supervisor Don Nellessen, commemorating the opening of the travel center's Subway addition last month in Spring Valley. The beautiful wood plaque is in appreciation for the employment opportunities Team Oil has created in the community.
