The Legion Color Guard, Scouts, Gold Star Mothers, EHS band, Legionnaires and Auxiliary members comprised the annual Memorial Day parade, which departed from Ellsworth's American Legion Hall Monday, headed toward Main Street and, ultimately, the high school. Cemetery visits, a Memorial Day program and the dedication of new flag poles at the hall were other events for the special day. The Ellsworth High School Class of 2013 participated in commencement exercises Friday. The 110-member class appeared before family and friends to hear musical selections, share in speakers' addresses and receive diplomas. They assembled in front of a sign proclaiming the class motto, "Nothing we do changes the past, but everything we do makes the future"; the class flower is the rose and the class colors are purple and white.
