As a memento of the El Paso Sesquicentennial celebration last year, one of the signs which had been displayed at the entrances to the community was given to the Town of El Paso Board Tuesday. Nate Place, right, designer of the signs and new president of the El Paso Community Club, expressed appreciation to the board for its support of the festivities. Ray Dohm, left, of El Paso donated the signs; the other three went to club members.

The high-stepping El Paso Marching Band adds flair and rhythm to El Paso's parade Sunday as the community celebrated its 150th anniversary. Over 100 units joined the parade, which drew a crowd from distant places. Parade announcer Jack Hines said he'd talked to visitors from Spokane, Wash. He said they had come from "the furthest away - unless somebody else came further."
