Rene Sailer led the Elmwood St. Patrick’s Day parade as grand marshal with her fellow passengers on Saturday, March 19. The parade is a tradition re-engergized by sisters Sandy Wohler, Mary Sailer, Betty Cotts and Deb Crownhart, who revived the green march down Main Street a few years ago. The tradition was originally started by their mother. Families carrying their “coats of arms” partake, as well as green bedecked and bejeweled “Irish for a day” participants.
