Committee leaders Rick Sweig, Dan Reiss, Dewayne Benedict, Greg Andrews and Beth Ingli awaited arrivals to Saturday's Farm Technology Days volunteer recognition event in the arena building at the Pierce  County Fairgrounds. Volunteers received a complimentary bratwurst lunch catered by The Valley and lots of acknowledgement.

FTD marred by storm, but workers say there were 'tons of positives'

Engines were revved up, then roared when the Badger State Tractor Pull was held Wednesday in conjunction with Farm Technology Days. The pull, at the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth, attracted an audience that filled a grandstand clouded by smoke. Pullers from throughout Wisconsin were on hand.

Farm Tech, Day 1: 'It doesn't get much better'

Early morning risers were arriving at the Pierce County Fairgrounds for shuttle transportation to the Farm Technology Days site. FTD kicked off Tuesday morning and will run through Thursday afternoon. Transportation will be provided by the Ellsworth School District.

Tent City came to life Saturday as Heritage Hill exhibitors brought keepsakes like John Losgaard's 'Farm Handy' three-wheeled farm utility, left, to the Farm Tech grounds to exhibit. Losgaard acquired his prize years ago and restored it to reflect a Farmall look -- his favorite.
