Spring Valley students covered sidewalks around Spring Valley Elementary and Middle-High schools with positive messages of love, peace, hope and acceptance on Sunday, Sept. 30. The main lesson the chalk messages extolled? Simply be kind. The messages were drawn Sunday so students arriving to school on Monday, Oct. 1 would be uplifted. The intent was to bring smiles to those who need it most. October is National Bullying Awareness month. Some classes added more messages throughout the day on Monday.
