No injuries were reported Tuesday night when a vehicle was engulfed in flames in the town of Trimbelle. Pierce County sheriff's deputy Donny Knutson reports the sheriff's office and Ellsworth Fire Department were called out around 11:45 p.m., to the address of N4237 County Highway O. Upon their arrival, they came across a fully engulfed SUV in the driveway, owned by William R. Richert. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly before the fire was able to spread to the nearby home. No injuries were reported during this incident.
A Prescott man was charged last week in Pierce County Circuit Court with multiple felonies including police battery.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday morning they arrested the suspect who allegedly attempted to strike Conservation Warden Brad Peterson last week. Corey R. Peterson, 38, Turtle Lake, Wis., was found on a traffic stop on a town road south of Turtle Lake in Polk County Monday afternoon, Pierce County Chief Deputy Jason Matthys said. Peterson was operating a rental car with North Carolina plates at the time of his arrest.

Chief Deputy Jason Matthys said in a news release around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, a Wisconsin Conservation officer attempted to make contact with a suspicious male who was outside a gray 2006 Chrysler 300 with Minnesota plates parked on 560th St., facing the wrong direction.
