Shereen (Terkelsen) Beaulieu, age 51, of Madison, formerly Woodville and Eau Claire, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her home in Madison. Funeral services on Sunday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville with Rev. Keith Anderson officiating. Burial in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville. Visitation from noon until the time of service on Sunday at the church. Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley is handling arrangements.
Melvin John Bach, 90, of Bay City, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Ellsworth Care Center. He was born July 10, 1919, in Isabelle Township, Wis., to John and Julia (Bolin) Bach. He attended schools in Hartland Township and enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force in February of 1941, serving until he was honorably discharged in 1945. He married Irene James on May 18, 1946, in Hastings, Minn.
Duane Clark Larson, age 65, of Karns, passed away July 8, 2009, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Duane grew up in Lund, Wis., on a dairy farm. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls and his PhD in nuclear physics from Michigan State University. In 1968, Duane married fellow physics student Nancy Zander. Together, they earned their PhDs in 1972 and then joined the staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Norris John Samb, age 55 of Baldwin, Wisconsin, died suddenly Monday evening, July 13, 2009, at his home in Eau Galle Township. Norris was born April 15, 1954, the twin son of Johnnie and Gladyce (Jacobson) Samb at Baldwin. He grew up at Spring Valley, where he attended school, graduating with the Class of 1972. After high school, he attended Red Wing Vo-Tech for truck driving. He drove for a number of years and most recently was rural carrier for the Post Office at Roberts and New Richmond. Thomas Larson, age 83, of River Falls, formerly of the Town of Martell, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the River Falls Area Hospital. A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 16, at the Martell Methodist Cemetery. Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, handled arrangements.
Steven L. Armstrong, age 62 of Prescott, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at his home. Steve was born on October 10, 1946, in Duluth, MN, and was raised in Superior, WI, by his parents Byron and Cecelia (Larson) Armstrong. He was a graduate of Superior Central High School and Eau Claire Technical Institute, receiving an associate degree in computer science. Steve married Julie Cockson in October of 1967 and later married Judy Lamble on June 27, 1987, in Coon Rapids, MN. Steve was a longtime employee of Northwest Airlines, where he was employed as a Senior Business Analyst.
Robole, Patricia "Pat" A., Age 62 of Ellsworth, died Tuesday, July 7th, at her home, following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 21, 1947, in Plum City, WI, the daughter of Loren and Rhene (Poquette) Lewis. Pat attended Elmwood High School and later in life graduated from the Red Wing Technical College with a degree in Nursing. She worked as an LPN for many years at Regina Medical Center in Hastings, retiring in 2004. Pat married Ralph W.
Martin C. Milliren, age 74 of Plum City, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Martin was born on April 13, 1935, in Arkansaw. He was the son of Fred and Mary (Brenner) Milliren. Martin grew up in the Arkansaw area, attended and graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1953. After high school, Martin farmed for a short time in Arkansaw before moving to the farm in Plum City.
