The Milwaukee Bucks play at Detroit tonight. And despite a 2-and-3 record, coach Jason Kidd gives his players high marks for their effort. He says the Bucks are creating a good pace on offense, sharing the ball more than they have, and scrambling for loose balls. The Bucks and Philadelphia are tied for the N-B-A lead in steals, with 10-point-four per game. Kidd says he's still in a feeling-out process, putting players in different positions to see what they can do. He says development comes from playing and winning. Kidd is not shy to use his bench.
Last month’s Cheese Grater triathlon in Spring Valley raised over $35,000, and organizers decided to donate $5,000 each to the St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice and the St. Croix County Suicide Prevention Task Force. The remaining funds will go to these non-profits along with other programs.

MILWAUKEE -- The Chicago Bulls won their ninth straight game at Milwaukee last night, 95-to-86. The Bucks were down by one point with five-and-a-half minutes left, but the Bulls out-scored Milwaukee 16-to-8 down the stretch. Coach Jason Kidd said Chicago applied more pressure in the second half, and it knocked the Bucks out of their rhythm. He said the Bucks rushed too many shots and did not share the ball enough on offense. Milwaukee committed 28 fouls, allowing Chicago to make 22-of-30 free throws. All but six of those attempts came in the second half.
