MANKATO, Minn. - A fugitive being sought by Blue Earth and Nicollet County law enforcement for assaulting an officer, running from police and a parole violation has been captured. 31-year-old Jacob Friedrichs is in the Blue Earth County Jail, after a search that Sheriff Brad Peterson says was prolonged because Friedrichs had help in evading authorities.
MILWAUKEE - Ryan Braun is not starting for the Milwaukee Brewers this afternoon, as they close out their three-game series with Cincinnati. Brewers’ manager Ron Roenicke said on Monday that Braun would not play today. The five-time All-Star was pulled after six innings last night in his first game since June 9th. That was after he bruised and injured a nerve near his right thumb.
DALLAS - Wisconsin’s largest farm show began today in Barron County. The 60th annual Farm Technology Days runs through Thursday at the Breezy Hill Farm near Dallas, owned by Alex and Mary Olson. Over 600 exhibitors will feature the latest in farm technology and practices. There will be field demonstrations, speakers, displays, and entertainment.
The Ellsworth Village Board approved spending $9,000 to help pay for improvements to Summit Park’s baseball field during their July meeting Monday evening. The village has already spent $6,000 on survey work at the park and the money approved at Monday’s meeting is the remainder of cost-sharing agreement between the village, the Ellsworth School District and the Ellsworth Hubbers amateur baseball team for improvements to the field.

MADISON - A federal judge has put Wisconsin’s latest abortion restriction on hold. William Conley issued a 19-page ruling last night which delays the enforcement of a law that requires abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges within 30 miles of their clinics.
WHEAT RIDGE, Col. - The body of a Minnesotan who went missing in Colorado has been found. Park County, Colorado deputies were called on July 4, after a group of people found a body near their cabin. Annie Meyer was reported missing in February, after she didn't show up for work for several weeks and only communicated with family members through text message.
