Both Prescott and Elmwood/Plum City won prep boys' basketball games against their Pierce County rivals Tuesday evening. No. 1 Prescott blasted Ellsworth 77-37 at Ellsworth while EPC also won by a crushing margin, 54-29 over Spring Valley in Elmwood. PHS turned a competitive first half against the Panthers into a rout midway through the second quarter. They went on a 9-0 run just before halftime and then outscored EHS 25-11 in the third quarter for a 65-31 advantage.

GILMANTON - The Elmwood/Plum City girls' prep co-op basketball team crushed Gilmanton in a non-conference game Monday evening by a 62-30 score. EPC was led in scoring by Cheyanne Catura, who finished with 18 points. The win improves the Wolves' overall record to 7-14. The win also matches the win total for the Elmwood and Plum City prep girls basketball teams from last season combined (Elmwood went 1-21, Plum City 6-15). EPC concludes its regular season Thursday at No. 9 ranked Colfax.

PLUM CITY - A 24-10 lead at halftime provided enough cushion for the Elmwood/Plum City prep boys basketball co-op team to beat Eau Claire Immnanuel Lutheran 49-39 Saturday afternoon at Plum City High School. EPC jumped out to a 15-4 first quarter advantage on the Lancers, 4-12 overall. The Ellsworth High School wrestling team won the program's 44th WIAA regional championship Saturday in a Division 2 meet hosted by EHS.
