Easter egg hunts guaranteed two things last weekend in Pierce County: smiles and sugar.

Kids hunted and gathered Easter eggs at the Pierce County Fairgrounds Saturday, April 8 and then again Sunday, April 9 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehab Center.

The Ellsworth Funsters hosted the event on Saturday and the Cruz'rs Tri-County Car Collectors Club hosted Sunday's event.

There will be more local Easter egg hunts this weekend. The Elmwood Egg Hunt will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Butternut Park in Elmwood. Door prizes will be given out for each age group.

The Bay City American Legion will also host an Easter Egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the American Legion. There will be two age groups: 5 and under and 6 and older. Easter baskets will be given and eggs will be filled with small gifts.

If you plan to attend, feel free to send Editor Sarah Young (syoung@rivertowns.net) photos from what is sure to be a fun experience.
