Ellsworth police: Spray painted business; Escaped dog

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police June 4-10.

Critter patrol

• Police received a complaint about a red bloodhound dog found at an address in the 700 block of South Maple Street at 10:06 p.m. June 10. The owner reported the dog escaped as he was closing the kennel door.

Sticky fingers

A caller told police someone in a light-colored truck parked on County Road C at 12:32 a.m. June 8, walked onto property at 107 County Road C and stole a lift attachment for a John Deere 300 series mower. The truck was allegedly similar to a Ford Ranger.

Damage to property

A caller reported seeing the word "Hell" spray painted on the front of a business building at 2:19 p.m. June 9 at 125 S. Chestnut St.
