PHS forensics takes third place

The Prescott High School forensics team placed third out of 12 schools at Baldwin-Woodville High School on Saturday, Feb. 10. A number of PHS students earned individual awards led by Jillian Boles (first in oratory and third in storytelling) and Sophia Tibayan (first in public address). Also earning individual awards were: Trent Rowan (fifth in demonstration), Cade Budworth (fifth in extemporaneous speaking), Morgan Chesney (second in four minutes), Julia Cleasby (third in oratory), Anna Welter (fifth in poetry), Emily Buss (third in public address), Laura Pryor (second in public address), and Megan Gilles (fourth in special occasion). Also competing for Prescott were Sophia Lebakken (farrago), Kira Penk (four minute), Isa Lonetti (impromptu), Anna Mercord (oratory), Maddie Tibayan (oratory), Abby Holz (poetry), and Emma Fiedler (public address). The team next competes at Menomonie High School on Feb. 17.
