James (Jim) Nickolas Molitor

Mr. James (Jim) Nickolas Molitor, of Ellsworth, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 86.

Jim was born to parents Herman and Elizabeth Molitor on February 20, 1932 in Rock Falls, WI. He grew up as the youngest of four boys and attended Elk Mound High School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1958, when he took a position teaching Industrial Arts at Ellsworth Senior High School. In 1968 Jim obtained his Master's Degree in Administration and shortly thereafter became the Assistant Principal for Ellsworth Senior High School.

In 1949, Jim joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard, attended active duty Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, OK and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. He was assigned to Battery B, 173rd Field Artillery Battalion in Eau Claire, WI and served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 28 years.

Jim married Lois (King) Molitor in 1957, and the couple had four sons. Jim taught at Ellsworth Senior High until 1982, when he took a position as the Head of the Maintenance and Transportation Division of the Ellsworth School District. He continued in that position until his retirement in 1992.

Jim is survived by his wife Lois and his four sons David (Patricia), Stephen (Kelly), Paul (Cindy) and William (Kim); eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Elizabeth; and his three brothers Leonard, Robert and Donald.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Jim's life from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 19 at the Post 204 American Legion Hall in Ellsworth. Lunch will be served and there will be an open bar from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
