Plenty of snow was on the ground and a chill was in the air for Saturday's arrival in Ellsworth of Santa Claus, who got a lift into town from the local fire department. The red-suited guy waved to spectators as he first came to the Ellsworth Care Center to greet the center's residents and later went to Ellsworth's American Legion Hall to visit with area children and their parents. At the latter stop, Santa heard holiday wishes and distributed gifts while all were treated to movies and refreshments, spons...
