Last year's volunteer student planning committee organized the Ellsworth elementary school supplies drive which attracted about 100 families, graduated senior and volunteer Grace Groh said. Pictured are 2018 recruits from left: Trinity Kittelson, Paige Frion, Grace Groh and Mara Adams. Each of them, except Adams, are volunteering again this year. Jessica Schaffhausen -- mother of Amara, Sophie and Cecilia -- smiles to the crowd just after finishing the Tri-Angels 5K Fun Run at Hoffman Park on Saturday, July 20, 2013. The event was put on to honor the memory of Schaffhausen's three girls and to help raise money to have a playground built in their memory. Police estimate more than 3,000 people participated in and watched the event.
