Spring Valley will be saying goodbye to their police chief John DuBois, who served 6 years. DuBois will be transitioning to a teaching position in the criminal justice department at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Rice Lake. About 43 firefighters showed for the June 19 propane emergencies training at the Ellsworth school bus garage lot. Ellsworth, Spring Valley, River Falls, Lund and Prescott fire departments were represented at the training.
